By working together, we can do even more to improve the quality of life for residents of Be’er Sheva. If you are interested in getting involved, please do not hesitate to contact us. There are four main ways that you can help:

Volunteering

As a service organization, we coordinate volunteers for a variety of projects on a daily (or even hourly) basis. Our staff works with both individuals and other non-profit and charitable organizations to allocate volunteers to worthy causes. Some of these projects include big-brother/big-sister programs, painting rooms in our schools, or packing food for needy families. We also offer volunteers the opportunity to combine their service experience with a free tour of the historical sights of the Old City of Be’er Sheva. We also can arrange a tour through the Negev Desert. We are always seeking volunteers and would love to have you join us. Please contact our volunteer coordinator, Mirit Assis at mirit@bmoriah.org.il for more information.

Property Investment

Beit Moriah utilizes various properties in the everyday operation of our organization. For instance, we use multiple buildings and apartments to house Beit Midrash students and their families, as well as to shelter teenagers in our Girls at Risk program. One unique way to participate in Beit Moriah’s work in the community is by investing in a building or apartment to be managed and completely cared for by Beit Moriah and used for our programs. This type of investment costs anywhere from ILS 400,000.00 and up (EUR 80,700.00 / US 112,200.00). We can help you choose a property, providing you with detailed information about Be’er Sheva and statistics on the average return on investment in this region.

Dedications

We offer donors the opportunity to dedicate one of Beit Moriah’s projects to the memory of a loved one or in honor of someone dear to you. For example, donors can sponsor a specified period of community Torah lessons in honor of a friend or relative. Also, our facilities or specific parts of those facilities can be named after individuals you wish to memorialize.

Donations (Tsedaka)

Beit Moriah is a government-recognized charitable organization, and we gratefully accept financial donations to specific projects or to our organization as a whole. All donations are tax deductible. Beit Moriah is fully committed to transparency and to conducting ourselves with the utmost professionalism, as recognized by our recent receipt of the Midot Seal of Effectiveness. Please contact Carmit Mazuz (carmit@bmoriah.org.il) if you have any questions. We will be happy to provide you with documentation regarding our official non-profit status. To make an online donation, please visit our Donate page, and be sure to specify if you have particular projects or programs that you would like to receive your tsedaka. A list of our current fundraising priorities can be found on our Future Projects page. Donations also can be remitted to us through PEF Israel Endowment Funds Inc. in the USA or through Shalom Center, Oosterend, The Netherlands (mail for account / IBAN details). Mention Beit Moriah (and if you have particular projects or programs that you would like to receive your tsedaka, also mention the project).
